Rodney P. Walsh

Rodney began his US career working in 1993 as an off-shore surveyor for John E. Chance & Associates in Lafayette, LA, which later became the Fugro Group of Companies. During his time with John Chance in Louisiana he used the earliest GPS receivers to track the partial GPS constellation and utilized this technology to move oil rigs in the Gulf Of Mexico and all other navigation projects that included pipelines, diving operations, hydrographic/bathymetric/geophysical surveys. He has extensive experience in post processing of GPS data from both the off-shore days and later as the project manager for control and geodetic surveys while at SJB Group in Baton Rouge, La. Over the last 4 years Rodney has developed a special understanding of the challenges and opportunities for Surveyors in the North Texas Natural Gas Fields. He works closely with customers from this sector of the market to ensure the highest productivity possible utilizing the latest and greatest in GPS and surveying technology. A native of Newfoundland, Canada, Rodney holds a 3 year college diploma in Surveying Engineering Technology from Cabot College and also has a Bachelor of Technology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. His wife Lori ,originally from Newfoundland, Canada as well is a registered nurse. They have 2 sons Michael and Brandon and they reside in Trophy Club, TX where they are very active in youth sports.
